This is just about the simplest, but coolest looking projects you can do for your home office. My father-in-law lives out in the country and on their property
is this big old barn. When we were engaged my husband (now) took me up there and I was enthralled to find all these dusty, old forgotten windows. They were exactly what I'd always looked for in an old window: the size, the separations, the glass, and the chipping paint. First, I cleaned them up and used them in our wedding. Now, one of them serves as this lovely message board.
How to make it...
It was unbelievable easy to put together. You just take your favorite scrapbook paper, cut it to size, and double stick tap it to the back side of the glass facing out. Any dry erase markers will work on the glass. The best part is; you can change it as your decor changes. You could even change it with the seasons!
What I use the different sections for
Menu for the week- It's nice to put the meals I'm planning to make that week for organization's sake, and so Brian can know what to look forward to.
Groceries we need- As soon as we run out of something I write it up here. That way, I don't forget when it comes time to write out the list
Memory Bible verse- Having this up in a place you pass by or look at daily helps with memorization
Prayer needs- I do my Bible study at the desk that sits under this message board, so before beginning devotions, I look up to the board and say a prayer for those on the list.
People to call, appointments to go to- As much as I love using my phone to keep track of things, there's just something a little more eye-catching or memorable about seeing it on the wall in your own handwriting.
Thanks for reading, and be sure to pin that image on Pinterest!
