Inspirational Wednesday #3

So, there is this couple that live out in Waco, Texas. They have four adorable children and a really cool business where they help people buy the worst home in the best neighborhood, fix it up, and design it to look and feel like home for their clients. Know who I’m talking about yet? It’s Chip and Joanna Gaines, and I, like pretty much every one who ever watched HGTV, am in love with their show: Fixer Upper.

First off, I love Joanna’s sense of style. She is all about rustic, charming, farmhouse style which is evident in all her designs, and she does such a great job of pulling it all together to be gorgeous and yet cozy and homey. But, that’s not all that I love about the show. They are hands down the sweetest couple on television. They just really love each other which is really refreshing to see in such a sin saturated world. Chip is hilarious and he’s always saying things like, “Baby, did my hair look good?” and Joanna just takes it all in stride.

Ok, enough gushing about their show, but seriously, you should watch it 😉

Anyway, welcome to Inspirational Wednesday! I have been spending a lot of time on the Magnolia Homes (their farm name and business) website.

My favorite part about their entire home are the walls. The white planks all throughout add an element of texture without being overwhelming.

I totally want to put in wooden beams like these in our house, and, don’t you just love those open shelves?

Can a master bedroom get more romantic and dreamy than this? I’m so ready to change our bright red paint for something more neutral.

And, this attic is giving me some really ambitious ideas for our’s. We have the space, but it’s unfinished and used for storage now. It’s so tempting to make it into a functional extra bedroom or something like that. Someday….

Finally, this garden. Sigh. Any one else as ready for spring as I am? I can’t wait to get started with our garden and outdoor projects. Honestly, I just can’t wait to be outside.

So, there’s a look at what I’ve been inspired by this week and will give you an idea for the type of projects and room renovations you can expect to see here on Charming Imperfections. I’m so glad you stopped by!
