We’ve all heard the term “Christmas Spirit” before. It’s that wonderful attitude of peace and goodwill, of family and Jesus, but have you ever thought of getting into the “Thanksgiving Spirit”? Of doing, creating, eating, and participating in things that get you pumped up and excited about gratitude? Perhaps not.
I was thinking about this concept of “Thanksgiving Spirit” recently and began to search for some inspiration. I found a ton of wonderful blog posts with crafts, stories, and recipes that are perfect for getting ready for this wonderful holiday.

To start us off, My Life From Home shares this lovely Thanksgiving tree. I love the idea of writing what we are thankful to hang up for all to see!
Next, Anastasia Vintage has this lovely “thankful” sign made from something unexpected. This was so creative and a perfect reminder all year round.
Marty’s Musings shared this awesome idea for a family blessings jar; an awesome idea for helping our children realize the importance of gratitude.
This “Blessings Box” from the Kim Six Fix is such a cool idea for really getting into the spirit of thankfulness!
This Thankful Table Runner from The CSI Project is great for young kids. I know our toddler would love it 😉

At My Urban Family, we take a look at some of the best Thanksgiving traditions, but they aren’t the usual generic sentiments you’ve heard before. I love the honesty and humor in this post!
Day to Day Adventures shares a poetic story about finding gratitude in loss and joy from pain.
