Recently, I posted a tutorial on fabric Christmas ornaments in which I told you that in my Christmas decoration planning I stumbled upon the theme of Scandinavian Christmas decorations and have been crazy about them ever since. They are the essence of natural, simple, and frugal decorating, which is perfect for the Schwind household this year.

Another Pinterest picture I stumbled upon in my “research” on the topic was this amazing tree branch candle holder.
I could just picture it hanging over an authentic peasant family’s dining room table somewhere in Finland where the winter is harsh, but the love of those living in the house was warm.
Maybe that’s just a silly vision in my head. Regardless of the history of the original photo; I knew this would make and amazing bit of décor.
