10 Projects made possible by a Kreg Jig

My DIY journey began last summer when we moved into our new home. I loved the thought of saving money by creating things on my own and wanted to jump right in and start making tables and décor and bookshelves. The only problem was our tool supply was seriously lacking and we didn’t want to drop a ton of money on buying them all at once. This resulted in some pretty crude beginning projects.

Thankfully, my skills and tool supply have grown considerably since then, but there was one thing that was really missing. I felt constantly hindered by what I could build because I didn’t have this tool. Well, on Mother’s day this year Mr. Charming, being the incredibly thoughtful and observant man that he is, did not buy me flowers that will wilt away, but a beautiful new *Kreg Jig to make my tool box more complete! I must have sounded like a kid at Christmas upon receiving it.

Right away I had to start “researching” (i.e. scrolling through Pinterest) about what new projects I could now do thanks to this handy new tool. I was so stunned and excited about the prospects that I just had to share a few of them with you.

But first, if you don’t know what a Kreg Jig* is I’ll tell you: the jig (made by the Kreg Tool company) joins wood together by creating pocket holes which are able to conceal screws better. It creates strong joints in areas that would be otherwise very difficult to attach. A Kreg Jig opens up a world of possibilities.

Here are ten projects made possible by a Kreg Jig from some amazing DIYers that I thought were especially amazing. Be sure to click the links to pin from the original sources and give credit where it’s due.

If you have dreams of doing things DIY you just have to add this amazing tool to your collection and you’ll be amazed at the possibilities it opens up for you. I certainly can’t wait to start, and I’m sure you can’t either.
